Publicize Arkema’s chemicals

Arkema products are a common part of everyday life, although they are normally not recognizable. The general public are usually unaware of the nature and origin of these products, of the improvements and comfort that their applications have made possible, and of how our production plants work.
Anxious to improve people’s understanding of its activities as well as the economic and social purpose and function of its products, Arkema launched an outreach and dialogue initiative in 2002, called Common Ground®.

Common Ground®, an initiative reflecting Arkema’s values, to share progress through openness, exchange and trust

• A community relations program that provides us with opportunities to listen to and understand stakeholder expectations, build lasting relationships with local communities based on trust, and open up our plants to those interested in learning more about our industrial activities.
• A global initiative, initially launched in France, then gradually extended to all our host countries through our subsidiaries. Relayed first in Europe (Germany, Italy and Spain), it is now being deployed in China and the United States.
